MS DHONI-CSK : Beyond Eternity

CSK - THE HEIGHTS OF EMOTION :
I still remember the time when the announcement was made banning CSK and RR, initially it was a shock but later as an RCB fan felt relaxed that without CSK, there will be a spot open in playoffs. Thats the confidence everyone who watch IPL have on this team to qualify for playoffs.
When we talk about CSK, its all emotions running through the viens. People here in south worship their favourite stars be it cinema or cricket. This emotion is not just confined to the fans but the entire team as well. If you observe the players they buy, they aren't any stars from across the globe but normal players like any others and yet they perform like never before. No player in this franchise is loved in their home as much as they are loved in Chennai.
The impact CSK has created on this league is unreal. Few examples to tell how CSK is far from reach in terms of fandom and emotions are - Packed stadium for training sessions in Chepauk and Chennai fans travelling to Pune when the venue was changed.
The initial years of IPL saw the dominance of the franchise and later on they have been consistent but couldn't get hold of the trophy. Their ban had impacted entire IPL for sure and hence their comeback was absolute madness. 2018 will always be remembered as the greatest season so far for CSK fans. MSD, Raina, Jadeja etc etc back in Yellow's is what fans were waiting. After 2 years of insults, abuse, criticism and humiliation Dhoni had yet another challenge infront of him. Perhaps the most satisfying aspect of this success was , people who were critical once were in awe of the team's performance. Follow their journey in 2018 to understand that there is no consistent performer in the team but each individual match had one new match winner telling how badly the entire team wanted to win that year.

REBIRTH OF YELLOW :
If 2010, 2011 were to tell the fraternity what CSK is, then 2018 is a tight slap to all the critics and a gentle reminder of what MSD can do. However there came another challenge for Thala in 2020 as it was the first time the team in yellow not qualify for playoffs. This season (IPL-14) has been so good for the team just not because they were winning but more importantly how they have won the games. PURE DOMINANCE. Its a no brainer they are most likely to win this season. After all it's probably the last season for the two pillars of the club ' Thala and Chinna Thala' . Its only justifiable for them to end on a winning note for what they had given to the franchise all these 12 years. Cricket owes them one last trophy.
We often see comparisons like who's the greatest  IPL captain and all but according to me, MSD is the greatest captain  this sport has witnessed. Period.

Will Thala and Chinna Thala return to this franchise as coaching staff in future ??
