Is the Future of ICT really SAFE ??

In recent times we often saw people in the cricketing world talking about the depth ICT has, which is never like before. Probably even if we remove the best 20 players from ICT, we still can build a team of 15. Ever happened in the history of ICT ? Again that doesn't mean India never had talent like this before. There was and always will be talent in a country like ours. Its just that all those required platforms to showcase themselves.

IPL EFFECT :

What IPL has done is, it brought together the audience with talent and hence they are getting recognised quicker. In the year of 2016 Ranji season a Delhi boy, Rishab Pant who by then hasn't played a single international match scored 300. But how many of you watched 2016 Ranji season ? But you must have all know the heroics of Virat Kohli in IPL, the very same year. Thats the impact IPL has on everyone. If the player has talent, he comes into limelight with no time however on the flip side of the coin, India is a country where you will always be under some thousands of pascals. Ipl is not new to talent. Right from 2008 finding Virat Kohli to 2021 finding Venkatesh Iyer. Tell me off all these how many made a name... Not many. There is pressure everywhere in India, pressure from media, pressure from fans, pressure from management. Dont you think this might be the reason India developed a knockout match phobia in ICC tournaments? MS started the idea telling his players to play with freedom irrespective of the result. But how can the young players ignore the noise and avoid like how MS and VK did? Anywhere else to become a cricketer you need to know how to play the sport, but here thats not at all enough. You need to know how to avoid the noise around you and play like you wish to. Unfortunately thats the difficult part.

PERFORMANCE ANXIETY :

How many of you remembered Shreevats Goswami? He was the emerging player of first edition of IPL. On the similar lines are Iqbal Abdullah, Basil Thampi and Mandeep Singh. These players won that award too but failed to make big, and I believe that its not because they lack talent but failed to sustain the pressure. Another example is Mayank Markhande - how good was he when he played for Mumbai Indians ? The problem is that cricket is being taught well here but more than that players need to know how to handle pressure. Its quite evident that no one is exempted from trolls. From Sachin and Dhoni to now Virat. People forget what all you did for the country one's you start failing. And to face them and succeed again you need to have strong mentality. Players like Ruturaj, DDP, Bishnoi, V Iyer etc etc are the future. Accept it or not they are the ones who bring glory to our country. So its our responsibility to protect them, support them and give them that space so they play with more freedom.
